Push/Pull: Part 2

Here
is an example of what appears to be a colorful shape
that has a part missing sitting on the top of a black
shape that is thus partially seen. |

And
here is what appears to be a black bust sitting on top
of a colorful background. |
 |

But
put the two of them together and you get an example of
Push/Pull.
(Scroll over the white blank to have this revealed.)
The top portion comes forward out of the background
while the lower portion suggests it is behind.
This ambiguity makes the composition visually more
interesting.
